Here is a thread from game guides forum that talks about making a metal recycler. It says what parts are needed for the metal recycler and where to get them.
They took some iron with some high stats and put it into the recycler and it came out with 200 across the board for all the stats. So as I suspected, no turning lead into gold, but it will instead just turn anything into lead.
These things will work great for making use of the misc. piles of scrap metal and ore that we end up with.

And here is a great thread from another website that has a list of all the parts for the new loot items and what drops them.

Well i'm glad their in the game, however I can see the fact that each requires several items and are limited use to be somewhat fustration, but hey... at least it's something. Hopefully the drop rates are high enough that they are common and won't cast a friggen arm and a leg to get your resources combined.
What is the number of uses you get? And is that number expermintalable?

Do you know yet how far down it breaks down the materials (into how general a category)?

looks to me from what the guy on test posted that any iron become iron, from what TH posted an organic will go to the major sub catagory.. like domestic oats will become cereal. So in the survey tool its the first subcatagory. Hope thats not all confusing..

Limited use? as in you need a tool for each unit you convert or it stops working after 3 uses? That bites.. only limited use i saw in the right up was on the schematic... i was hoping these items would be permanant

oops i think i misread dvnce's statement he said Limited usefulness meaning it wont be great for everything, not limited uses like you can only use it once.. although I havent seen anyone say if it is a perm item or if it poofs when the item is used.

The recycle kits certainly aren't going to have that big of an impact but it is nice to see loot that does have a specific functional use for crafters.
I did a little volunteer police work in Daeric last night and slaughtered a hundred or so of the Chunker nitwits. I think I got at least a dozen of the parts for the recyclers. red wire, pulverizers and one other part.
I'm not sure how frequently the schematics drop but theres already people that have them on day 2 so they can't be that hard to find.
So my impression is that these won't be too hard to put together.
