Thread: BER 13 possible with 9 points?

Hey, all. Quick question. I have yet to grind any Architect, but I am considering it.
I dont have enough SP to Master Architect, but I'd like to make my own Harvies. With something like 3-4-4-0 and 9 experimentation points, is it possible to make BER 13 Harvies?

It should be possible yes. I've got 12 points and after maxing out extraction I usually have a few points left over (not sure exactly maybe 4 points?). You need pretty good quality materials though, that is the key.

Yeah, it's doable. Just get some good steel and you're all set.

People migh laugh at what i am about to say, but I have experimented my little botty off the last few days.
structural modules any old crap can be used
this u use to make wall sections. use better rersources here and "experiment" i know they r just a "part" but if u can get their durability up it makes a difference to the final build,
Using identical resouces of ores and metals and parts i struggled to get a ber 13 with bog standard wall sections. Experiment with 6 with all 10 points and voile a ber 13 . First i thought it was just down to luck but i have now succesfful hand made (aprt from the nec., crated part) 30 harvys of varying types all ber 13. and not 1 Critical fail.
Power genes and storeage modules and the machinery. Use the best u can possible afford to buy or extract.
2 crated ber6 machines r the best. and a strong gene
I was lucky i was given some miners from guild to go out and dig up my own ores/metals
BUT it is possible to make ber 9 and 10 which gets u going then use these to get the better spawns and work up the ladder.
Not sure if your guilded but if u are it does help.

Not sure but are you saying that you should use good materials and experiment up the Walls, Generator Turbines and Small Structure Storage MOdules?
Those parts do not need high quality materials. You don't need to experiment on them. Using high quality materials for those parts will not help improve the extraction rate.

I was under the impression that you couldnt exp on Small Structure Storage MOdules, and walls anymore anyways

I hit BER 13 with 7 to 8 points everytime. If I'm trying to get storage in the 135K+ realm I usually destroy the work if I don't make it in 7 points.

I think you might be right.
I don't even pay attention any more on the components at that point and just skip straight to making a schematic.

I've done it in 6 point with 2 amazing successes. With the other 6 in hopper size, i got upto about 133K hopper.

To clarify experiemtn on the wall modules ....... not the structure bricks just the plate like wall modules.

It has been tested before and experimentation on walls has no effect.
