Thread: Factory-made Power Units Is there a workaround?

I have attempted to make the factory-made powerunits 6 times. I have been successful once. I am sure this problem was posted below, but does anyone know why it happens and is there a workaround?

The situation:

Combining 2 GT, 2 ED, 2 PC with the resources in a sturctural factory (all items factory identical and listed on the schematic by serial number, of course), gets the following:

1 Power Unit, 1 ED, 1 PC, all resources consumed. Nothing made from that schematic will ever produce another success, but the turbines regularly get eaten in the attempt.

Is this what other arch's are getting? Is there a workaround? I know I am doing it right: did it in beta and at least once time successfully here.

Devs? This is killing our PA Hall sales. It takes a lot of pain to make a pa hall when everything is working. Can we get this bug squashed?

Very common problem. Happened to me in Beta as well.

I tried a suggestion from the Beta boards, which said to put and extra 1 or 2 Generator Turbines into the Input Hopper. That seemed to be enough to push out the last Power Core Unit (at least it worked for me). Just remember, those extra Turbines have to be the same serial number needed in the Power Core Unit schematic.

Alternately, if you have the resources, put enough in so you end up with 4 or 6 Power Core Units (even if the last Turbine, Conditioner, and Distributor aren't used). That way, you're assured of getting the 2 PCUs you need for the PA Hall, and you'll have extra ones in case of a critical failure or to use on the your next PA Hall.
