Thread: Question on Factory Experimentation

I was just wondering if any of you had made a factory post patch, and if so what you could experiment on, and what it did for the end product. Hopper size, speed, maintanence rate? Or if it doesn't matter at all.

I had made an equiment factory post-patch and the only stat that I could experiment on was the output storage or something similar. I don't know what effect this had because I had asked the person I sold it to to let me know but they never did. It would be nice to experiment on speed though...nothing like waiting 18 hours to finish 1000 structural modules...

Effeiciency is not experimentable in the final combine (comes up as 0% regardless of materials), you can experiment storage size and it even shows up on the deed.

Only problem is I laid one of these factories down to test it out and the input/output hoppers where still 100/100 regarless of the deed saying they where 2k +

When I redeeded he factory the information was gone from the deed and just said "a food/chem factory" or something like that

I would LOVE to see efficiency and capacity be experimentable on factories but hey, baby steps

There is an option to experiment Efficiency on final combine and there is an Extraction Rate property when you examine the deed. However, Efficiency is always at 0% even if you have a great sucess with all 5 experimentation points. So I assume this may be something for the future, but it's not working or implemented properly yet.

Thanks for the info and quick replies, I'll keep an eye out, I'd love to have factories that worked faster, even if only 10% or so.
