I was wondreing why so few people sell crated furniture? Individual pieces take up so much room in your inventory and no one for the most part use only 1 plant,1 couch, etc. Crates of the basics are so much handier. I got tired of all the room that the single items took and started buying crates- I finally have put in a huge order of crates for a Arch in my guild to make and intend to furnish all my places this way. If I am not using something a crate stores much more conviently than 5,10,15 individual pieces. I would venture a strong opinion if a architect got som visibility as one that makes crated furniture he would be very busy.

I always have crated furniture on my vendor. I'll do a run of 50 chairs (for example), put about 10 loose ones on the vendor, six 5-packs, and one 10-pack. The crates sell very well.

I've had 5 and 10-packs of the master couches sell.

For one, I only crate items that people would want multiples of, ie: Sales counters and some plants.

Otherwise, most of my stuff changes in name, and is just easier to craft by hand.

There is a disadvantage to crating furniture though, since most furniture has multiples of the same name, you have to creatively name these to differentiate them if inside a crate. a crate of "Chairs" could be any... from the nice Executive leather padded chairs, to the ucky orange Vinyl ones you find in old starports of the 3010's...

Still, I only factory run special orders where its easier for the buyer to decorate with crates istead of a bag full of items.
