Thread: Publish 10 and 11 perhaps the best time for all of us to take a pause..?

This is just what I posted to the devs today .... just wanted you all to see this....

I am all for and excited about some of the new changes that are heading our way .. But one Major issue that seems to continually get lost in the excitement and progress are items that quite frankly should have been addressed after the first month of live access.. I am sure every correspondent here can list at least 2 items that they have to deal with every day ..

From the time line It just looks like between publish10 and 11 would be the most opportune time to Stop.. Breath.. and Dedicate an entire publish to fixing alot of broken.. or misworking issues..

I am sure that 99% of the subscribers would Gladly wait another month for some of the new content if it meant that most of the old problems were being handled...(finally) .. I am sure that 99% of the subscribers would be less stressed knowing that they wont be adding a bunch of new issues to an old stack of appearing to be ignored problems..

I bring this up because the voices are getting more numerous saying..things.. Like " We dont want anything new until you can fix what is broken..." these people are your loyal subsribers that have been here from the beginning.. and really do desire to be here for the long run..

So I urge that we take the time and dedicate a complete publish to resolving old issues before we move into the next stage of adding ALOT of really cool new content.. In the end I truly believe all parties involved will be better of.. Veterans.. New subscribers.. and Development.. I mean How much longer would you like to hear me complain about Ore Mining Units not crating..? or Barrels not working.. ? or Vendors not doing something.. or specials not working.. ? etc.. etc.. etc..

It is not my intention for this to be a negative post.. I truly am excited about what is to come.. but lets introduce all of this new concept on a SOLID foundation...

What do the rest of my fellow correspondents feel on this ?

well said.

Kinda like offering a BMW that doesnt drive well, or a ferrari that goes at only 50 MPH, sure it gets the job done, but its not enoyable at all.

Dvnce: Nice job, my only request is that you keep us informed of any updates or information regarding this, whether it be from other community correspondents or from the dev side of things. I'd like to hear if you are the only one that is going to be outspoken enough for this or if you'll get the support from the other community correspondents or not. Without your support, it'll kind of leave you flapping in the wind, and I don't think anyone here would want that to happen.

I was just thinking this the other day. They keep adding more and more content while speeders still teleport me 100m away when I dismount. That is by far the MOST annoying but there is. Every time it happens it makes me want to quit the game.

I support removing large annoying signatures.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there Dev (ooh, what a cruel name shortening).
Once the annoying little broken pieces are fixed we can focus properly on the new stuff, but I fear it will take more than 1 publish to fix all those.
