From the IGN interview:

When asked about housing (specifically when can we have new types and floorplans), Haden indicated that it's a low(er) priority than everything else on the table at the moment. Specifically, Art time is the highest blocking point—they only have so much of it and right now it's dedicated to the Jedi Revamp, GCW and the new stuff to support the JTLS expansion.

...and from a little further down....

After JTLS, the StarWars Galaxies game will be "complete" in terms of the Star Wars experience. From there on out, what will come next will likely be additional content both terrestrial and space-based. The question becomes one of "how much of each" which has a lot to do with how many people buy the JTLS expansion. The key is serving the majority of the customer base. If there is a significant majority that have JTLS, there will be lots of space and terrestrial additions. If more people forgo JTLS, there will probably be more of a focus on terrestrial content with some additional space content for those who purchased JTLS.

Not going anywhere for a while?

Snickers satisfies.

Ya. Honestly this doesn't come as much of a surprise to me. It seems rational for them to put their efforts into the stuff that get them the most bang for the buck. I don't think most of the player base would choose new house style over new space ship, new gun or new armor.

Houses fall into the social aspect of the game for a lot of people. They enjoy decorating them and have people over for a place to chat. There are still quite a few people who like to do this and I would expect they will continue to create new things on this level. Surely not as much as the combat related items, but throughout the life of the game we should see a couple updates on these.

Also, if it is true that they consider the game complete and they aren't working on anymore expansions, then there should be more available people to work on updating and fixing the game. Unless they are just going to drop or reassign those people working on the expansion now.

Contrary to many beliefs, it's the 'social', personallized or 'fluff' aspects of a games design that maintains and growsa healthy MMPRPG game - established a game designed around the Star Wars world. Without it, it becomes a FPS and gets boring - fast.

Although I don't disagree with their current development priorities, I still think they need to keep adding to social aspects of the game - no matter how small.

The biggest problem in the game is the combat/buff system is so screwed up and/or bugged. This affects the vast majority of players in game, so the DEVs priority should be to fix that as soon as possible. This might as make PVP possible right now its a joke.

It would be nice to have more options of furniture or change furniture color.
