Thread: Bespin Port how do you use it?

Well, at the risk of being embarrased, I can't seem to figure this drink out.

My assumption is that it gives you 1 additional experimentation point (+10 Experiment) but, either my assumption is wrong or I'm not using it right.

How do you use this to get the extra point? Before you assemble? Before you experiment? Just before the last point is used up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A good question - I believe you just use it before you start crafting, and the next time you craft something you get to use the extra point. (Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, and please elaborate)

The chef food chart (http://home.comcast.net/~sciguyco/swg/FoodChart.htm) says that bespin gives you "increased experimental success chances" which should translate into higher Amazing Success or Great Success rates. I don't believe it gives you an extra experimentation point. It does not say it increases experimental skill level.

Ok, so my assumption on how it worked was wrong. Now I understand why I was confused.

Thanks for the clarification.

Each time you hit the experiment button it consumes the previous buff from drinking bespin port (you can see it in the buff window). So depending of how you experiment you might use from 1 drink (if you do all in one experimentation points)to 10-12 drinks (if you do single epx point steps) for the same shematic. Note however that the filling effect stacks and lasts longer ..

This is good info - thanks. I knew there was some chef stuff that would help (besides brandy ) but hadn't looked into it yet.

My use of Bespin occures in every step of experimentingwhen creating a schematic. Yes, you consume it at anypoint before going to the experiment section of the item. The Port is confusing is that it says it gives you a "Experimentation bonus of +X", but above that, reads "Increases the success rate for the next experimentation attempt." So, Pawlin is correct in that it should increase your chances for Amazing Success, etc. That being said, I have never gotten an amazing Success while using the Port, but. have never gotten anything lower than a Good success.

I might try and find some of this...I get plenty of Amazings anyway with level 15 Structure tool, 44+ crafting station and an Architects apron but more wont hurt.
