Thread: Question regarding paintings
Well, I never got the results back on the debate as to whether it is intentional that we can make a factory schematic from the picture schematic or not. So I can not say to much on making multiple issues of the same picture.
However, I personally have made several copies of the picture and have sold them at 3-4k on the open bazaar. #1 it guarentees it to be out where most people will go and check for things, and #2, it gets people to buy them off of my other character, who puts them up. As long as he makes the money back for the actual schematic, I could care less about the resources used. It's all soft money to me.
Now, my Architect has a vendor that has those same paintings on it, and I sell them for 10k each on my vendor. They do sell rather quickly too. I don't get quantity orders for them, and if I did, I always put my schematics up for 1k units and store the resources in a back pack on a secret vendor and know exactly what pack to pull to make something from one of my schematics. It's what works for me.
But you also must know, that people that buy you out, even when you have a great number of the product, and then also ask for a great number more of them, are probably re-selling them. Which, as long as you get your money, really shouldn't matter. Just letting you know that's probably how they are going about it. I remember when these things hit the market, and people were selling them at 50k or better a piece, and they knew they had tons of them, but everyone was lead to believe these would be very limited edition paintings and schematics, however, they weren't and they got gouged for it too.
Sell them for what you feel comfortable with though, and don't change that unless you want to. If you're making money, which is the Architect or for that matter any crafters dream, then do what you want and do what works best for you.
I agree with this. Just most people who sell at least want to get money to cover the price of resources, schematics etc. Otherwise you don't make money on them, you lose it. Unless you have another source of income you won't be able to pay your bills hehe.

I list the popular paintings for 13K each and the rest (can you say boring house and blumbush) for 10K each.
We just got the Krayt Painting this cycle and that sold like mad for 25K for the first few days. I've since dropped the Krayts down to 18K and they still sell nicely. All these sales are off vendors, BTW.
When I have bunch of furniture that doesn't sell off the vendor at the end of the 30 timer, I readjust the pricing downwards. If an item sells like crazy, the price gets nudged up slightly.
Bottom line, price for whatever the market will bear.
Cheers
