I am thinking about dropping down to 0/4/4/0 so that i can pick up master smuggler to compliment my armoursmith. is it still possible to make ber 13 harvs even without the assembly (just at higher risk) or will it not even let me at all?

okay then what is the minimum assembly i would need to be able to make ber 13's? is it a straight 1:1 relationship with complexity of the schematic?

Yes, it is possible. The furniture line gives "structure assembly", not "structure experiment". The loss you'll have is the +20 structure experiment that you pick up at Master Architect.

Right now I typically use 8 experiment points to hit BER13, and then use my last 2 points for storage. So as a 0/4/4/0 architect you *will* be able to hit BER13, but you typically won't have any points to spend on storage and you won't have a "safety net" if you get a "good" result on your experimentation.

However, if you make schematics to make heavies, then that shouldn't be that big a problem. In fact, if you do a little planning you can make some schematics *now* before you drop the skills and be able to turn out heavies for some time before you even need to face this.

I think that you'll probably find it noticably harder to get maximum BER as without the structure assembly points it will be harder to get great successes. I haven't done any specific testing but I think that structure assembly points make quite a bit of difference in your success rate. I've got about 123 structure assembly myself and very rarely get anything but great successess. I suspect if you only had 20 points or whatever from 0/4/4/0 then you'll fare a lot worse.

so my next question is... Is +26 the max assembly u can get from tapes? Or could i drop down to +50 assembly with my skills, and then add +50 assembly from tapes to get back up to +100?

forget next question. tested it myself and answer is no, at least for experimentation

Everything that I've always read has said that the most "bonus" that you can get from your clothing is +25. That is, if you have more than +25, it will *display* the total (e.g., 100/+132) but the "effect" is capped at +25.

Again, you have to look at your plans. If you can make some schematics now then you might be able to produce heavies for *months* before actually crafting a new one, depending on your sales volume.
