Thread: Furniture: A good business?
I do very well with it and its also a high margin product. However, my best sellers are the Master Architect furniture (white furniture) which you won't be able to do unless you're Master. However, you'll still do decent business on the other furniture.
Top Sellers (other than white master furniture):
1. Trees and plants
2.Lamps (not candles, the tall lamps)
3. Glass tables and glass end tables
4. Paintings
5. Fountains (from a revenue perspective)

Also (I'm not an Architect) one thing an Architect did on Starsider a few months ago was she would sell "Rooms in a Bag". She would take for instance, a bed, 3 lamps, a dresser, 2 plants, and a chair and chouch and put it in a satchle and sell it as a "Bedroom" package. This was EXTREMELY conveinent and I could imagine she made a lot off of it. I wish I could find another Starsider Arch who does this as going from vendor to vendor to find the right peices is annoying.
Thats an interesting idea. I might try that. What I do right now is I havea showroom setup with each type of setting ... sitting area, bedroom, etc. Each are named similar so that you know what set you're buying.
I can see doing that with customers who don't want names on the furniture. Hmm... got me thinking. Thanks.;
