That thread above is a good one and covers most of it.
I'd also recommend checking he Misc - Generic Items category on teh public bazaar. I've seen a few loot schematics selling there. Usually the Technical consoles, which are apparently more common.

Okay, iim sick of buying the schematics at freaking 50k a piece. Im haveing to sell the items for at least that much to even break even for the schematic, not to mention the recources put into it.
Can someone give a run down of who all drops what so i can get out there and loot it myself for a change? i had over a million credits the other day, and now im flat broke because i bought a bunch of the schematics off someone. /sigh

Without a doubt, the technical console schematic is the most common. I loot at least 10 for 1 of anything else. Running around aimlessly killing Stormtroopers has turned out well for me. For the non-Imp looted stuff... Hutts on Yavin have provided me with many Elegant Cabinet schematics and Fort Tusken supplies all the tanned hide and tapestry schematics I need. The only two I've never been able to loot are the data terminal and bubble tank 
(then again, I gave up after the nerf)
