Thread: Architect Crafting Spreadsheet Helps Rationalize Prices
Here's a link to a spreadsheet thatI have been developing over the last few days. You'll need XL (or a program that understands XLS file). Hopefully it will help rationalize and normalize prices for our stuff. Or least help people understand the pricing.
Here's the site. Hope you find it helpful.

sounds like a great idea though
how does 15k for a house and 30k for a factory figure for anyone who has the tool?
what doesn't work? the site or the link to the spreadsheet in the site.

As for the house and factory, the tool is a bit more complicated than that. you can configure different costs for different resources. The way the tool is currently configured, houses are at 10k and factories at 50k
btw, i just checked the links and it seems to be working fine.

The tool is flexible enough for you to use it the way you want to. Easy enough to set the markup to 0. For me, I wanted the cost to reflect the actual (or close to the actual) cost it takes me to obtain the resource.
Anyway, its easy to see that its possible, assuming you can get low grade ore efficiently, to still come out ahead selling a house for 10k.
Glad you found it useful,
Jubey
I think your costs for housing is too low.
What about the Wall Modules that require 200 Ore and 50 Metal and you need 10 of them
So there is 2500 resources that is not in your calculation
It is a spreadsheet. it is not a set price guide
You can adjust the costs for materials on page 2, and it adapts the prices on page 1. Those are just example prices. They will not necessarily work for you and you can adjust it so that it better suits your needs.
As for the 3 wall modules for medium houses, they are rolled up in the 13k+ low grade ore mentioned inthe tool for them, so yes, they are taken into account.

Hard to quantitize that. The way I use it, I reflect that in either cost of the material of the profit %. Or maybe even the markup/discount if you wanted to use a flat rate. All the numbers are tweakable and will automatically update the rest of the sheet.
