You should have posted this 1-2 weeks ago. SOE has been extremely poor in its communication to your customers on your plans and status on changes. This is not new to the CU by any means. We're still waiting for ANY communication from SOE on issues affecting the architect profession that have existed for well over a year. Your poor communication is your number 1 problem right now . SOE's lack of communication to us is what caused much of the uproar from your customers over the CU changes.

I continue to play this game in spite of SOE.

Nice post and keeping the architect flame alive!

On another note. It would be really interesting to take an objective look at the people who are posting highly negitive stuff and comparing that to their profession, their server, their time in game. I'm think I'm starting to see a pattern in the negative threads. Many (not all) seem to be those who have focused their playstyle to obtaining and mastering Jedi. The DEVs opened a pandoras box when they made Jedi as accessible as they did in the past.

Not so much ranting from the crafters, although I think most of us are still a bit shell shocked from all the changes around us.

What do you'all think?

I think you'll find the main reason crafters aren't complaining (as crafters) is that most (yes most) have already left I know of only 2 armoursmiths and 3 weaponsmiths remaining on Bloodfin and have not seen any of the other master architects back on since the roll back. I don't have a jedi, the way things are it looks like I never will, those that do have a very legitimate beef. Any jedi that isn't already completed now can't effectively get XP without gaining visibility from grouping, leading to death from a bounty hunter(s) causing -200k XP Unlike myself most people that play have done so for 1-2 years, consequently many have jedi and, having done most things in the game already, that is their main reason for staying, and is now gone. From a story-line perspective should there be so many jedi, of course not, but that was, and still is part of the marketing for the game that anyone can do so. It was already a lot of work to achieve, most jedi would agree they were too powerful but that doesn't mean they didn't earn the title. Nor does it mean the title should become more difficult/impossible to get now. Like so many other things about the CU it means they should have fixed what they had rather than throwing out an imperfect but working system to start another 2-3 years of live BETA.

It's not an MMORPG anymore, just an ORPG. The only thing massive is the extent to which SOE screwed up and there's not going to be anyone left for multiplayer

Yeah ya know I can't help myself.

I don't imagine the responses in that thread will have much impact on SOE but ya never know they might actually read them and listen to the feedback.

I'm convinced (and this is my own personal opinion) that the only reason that letter got posted was because the massive cancellations have actually raised a red flag with the corporate bean counters.
Now you'll see the corporate spin doctors go into high gear.

The only thing that makes an impact on the higher ups is when you can have an effect on the bottom line.
I'm guessing the cancellation numbers were sufficient to do that.
If they weren't, then the President of SOE probably wouldn't care about whether or not a few disgruntled players were leaving.

I'm even cancelling all my alt accounts. I'll reactivate them for a month at a time if I need one of them, but as of now they've become nothing more than lot holders for me.

Same here. I've cancelled all my 3 accounts and maybe, maybe I will return whenSOE's attitudechanges for the better, but I won't be surprised if this is one of my last posts. I really hope that things get better for the people that actually stick with it.

I'm not giving up completely.
I've decided that 3 of my characters will remain active.
I will give the game 'til June 5th (a month of RotW) to stabilize and see where we're going.
At that time I will evaluate my long-term plans in the game.

I still dearly love this game. I hope they can keep me as a customer.
