It's different on every server. You would be best off contacting someone on your server to survey for you.

doesn't quite work that way,
you will definatly want to ask on your server {try the trade forums} as each server spawns different resources in different areas at different times.
SWGCRAFT< is where most people get info for resource spawn, check it to help out

The resource availability is different on each server. And I don't know how much people really mine gemstones. Architectsdon't use it much except for grinding statues. You might see if any of your guildmates can help you with the surveying, that might be your best bet.

On the plus side, one good run of Green Diamond can keep you in gemstone for months. I've still got 100K left from a year ago.

if your looking for a wp to a particular gemstone I suggest you place an advert on your trade forums as spawn locations will vary from planet to planet but tbh without surveying you could go for randomely dropping harvesters or buy from the galactic bazaar chances are your find some cheap enough

Ever notice though that you pull out your trusting little mineral survey tool, an most of the time it may list one or two types of each metal and ore type available, but there's always about 15 gazillion different types of gemstone available?

Now just go to the highest %age and drop your miners there.
