They're speculating in the doctor forums and no, no one has a line on the devs' thinking.

I certainly hope they consider this in the new changes and make great strides to keep ingredient lists standard... or I have wasted hundreds of hours driving around distant planets looking for souvenirs.
Half of my enjoyment in MMORPGs is playing the merchant, finding resources, and making cool stuff. If they make my resources worthless I will have a hard time ever being interested in SWGs economy again. What would be the point?

I don't think the DEVs have said anything at all about what may or may not change for resource requirements.
This doesn't have anything to do with architect though. Nothing we make is changing as far as we've heard.

They tear up crafting any worse than it already is, I will have to go insane..... I am waiting to see what happens to the doc and chef profs though, since i do have a toon that does that wonderful junk.... and just when I am finally getting stocked up on the resources for it too.....

Well people predicted that the JTL resources would make regular resources less useful and in sense they're correct with the higher ore spawns and the unusual steel conductivity. I've heard some suggest that JTL space resources will be better statted and that terrestial resources will be of lower quality. I seriously doubt that. I don't think they plan on tweaking the game by differentiating the stat ranges of resources.
