For the love of God and all that is holy, does anyone have any tips as to how to load a factory on a laggy day? Today it took me an hour to load 25 items into my factory to run. I will admit that during this time I didsome cursing, pullingmy hair and gnashingmy teeth. I may have even cried a little.
So that may have made it take a little longer.
Okay, I'll calm down now. /deep breath; /pause 5; /exhale slowly; /pause 10.
Some daysI just cant get the object to drag into the input hopper from my inventorythe first 20 or sotimes. Help.

Heres what I do.
1. make all windows as small as possible
2. make all items as large as possible
3. make sure i dont have extra windows open (for example a pack in a pack)
4. give up and come back later
or if its tonight in particular, i'd follow that up with........
5. log on combat character
6. go to acklay and have loot stolen
7. wonder why i even play this game
8. throw in the towel for the day
but seriously, steps 1-3 usually work....

Ok.. Old Mans tip number 346B
Lag and factories
Reagrardless of the lag on your system, every time you move something from 1 place to another (like say inventory to a factory hopper) the item is not 'moved'. It is 'que'd' to move. Meaning the system is waiting to move that object. Seeing as there is a queue (order) to whats being moved it is possible to move multiplie items before the first shows up at the new destination. heres an example:
Make your inventory screen a long rectangle, so that there are many rows but only 2 columns of items.
Put this long window next to your hopper window.
Now.. drag the first item in your inv window to the hopper window.
Do not wait for the icon to dissappear from your inventory window, immediatly click and drag the item BELOW it. (ie the item that is actually 2 items away from the first)
By the time you have drug the second item into the hopper window the first one will show up at the new destination.
Once you get quick at this you can move your entire inventory to a new window in a few seconds.
The only catch is to make sure you have 1 item between your two move slots. so that way if your lag goes away you dont end up trying to move something that is already moved.
I know this is hard to follow but play around and you will be very satisfied.

before i got my new comp i had this problem all the time with OMUs. what i would do is double click the OMU and on the second click hold and move it to the factory, it usually works. it takes some time getting it down but it works.
now if you use this on a crated item it will pull one of the items out.

Thanks for the tip. I know what you are talking about. Its just that I couldnt grab it to drag it at all. The radial dial just kept coming up. But making the icons larger and the window smaller made it much easier to grab.

This is interesting. I have never had this problem. Not to sound funny. But the easiest fix that I can imagine is to move the factories to a less populated planet.
