Hey all,

I'm a new architect. well, that's not true exactly, I'm building xp in my novice architect slot right now working towars becoming a master architect.

My question is, what can I make to fill up my novice architect box pretty fast? So far everything I've tried takes huge amounts of resources and doesn't really return much xp. any suggestions/guides/help is really appreciated, thanks guys.

as an architect, you should expect to use a ton of resources. There's no way around that. But what I've done is build small houses. About 5 or 6, is what I've made and then I built all the furniture that I can make. By selling furniture, you can gain UXP, so you get double the exp for making those. There are some questions as to if deeds give UXP, I think they do, but others say they don't.

Don't grind as an architect. It really hurts the grinder and the other architects. If you really must construct items over and over, I suggest the structural modules because you'll use a lot of those later. From there, construct wall modules or small homes.

Any way you look at it though, you're going to be using a lot of materials compared to being an artisan.

well a couple of things. First, I don't plan on grinding through my architecture tree. I want to enjoy that. but I want to get TO it.

I'm still trying to get xp to buy my NOVICE ARCHITECT slot. That's what I want to grind out. And since I dont' have that yet, I can't make any of the things you suggested up there (/cry).

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good recipe to grind engineering xp to finish off my Novice Arthicect box.

I seemed to do well of Heavy Axes in Eng IV. Two resources, high XP.

Use Bone Armor Chest Plates. Approximately 550 XP each including Fiber Panels and Bone Armor Segment.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

Problem with that is those pieces require several types of resources. I think it's better if you're grinding to make something that requires 1-2 resource types. Keeps you from running around buying all sorts of resources, or maintaing several harvesters all over the place.

Thank God I grinded and sampled through Artisan before they nerfed /sample. This Higher action cost and 25 second delay stinks. Back then I had a harvester on steel (should have had two) and I sat on an 87% wood spot and sampled the wood. I then grinded Heavy Axes while sampling.

BTW, to the original poster, if you are grinding, use the Practice feature while crafting. You wont actually make the item (so you dont help flood the database and the bazaar, and you save time from not having to destroy them) you also get an extra 5% XP for doing it that way.

I have been allowing novice architects to grind the blocks for me. 500 xp each and I typically need around 75-200 per day. They get no money, but it costs them nothing. I have been doing this for 3 days now and the person that helped me has gained 3 levels from it. I dont get any xp as a master anyway, and this way I can turn out 10 walls in about 30 minutes.. instead of waiting an hour and a half for the factory to finish or (God forbid) have to grind them out myself.. I am so tired of building blocks..

Unless you need walls from a factory, I see this as a great way to go.. unless you are scared of the competition of course...

Thanks guys those are great tips. I never thought of doing axes. I suppose I'll need to build a flora survey tool after all hehehh. I intended to use the practice feature, I think that was a brilliant addition to crafting and the economy as a whole.

I made simple shirts in practice mode to grind out the last 15k of EXP. There may be better and more profitable ways, but thats what I did and it worked for me as a casual gamer.

I am a novice Architect now and have made my first house, I really want to get that first level of Small home building so I can build my own home on Talus. I am makeing structure modules and will use them to make a equipment factory.

I do survey tools. Only 1 resource required. Not the best XP, but easy to make. Plus, I have been able to sell a ton of them on the bazaar for 100 credits each. You get some cash back, and UXP. If you are justgoing to destroy the items remember to hit practice for the 5% bonus. Note, that it stays as the default selection. Once you are done, make sure to unclick it.

I did Travel Packs, but you need Domestic IV for that. (I'm a Master Artisan as well)
