So wind generators harvest wind. And solar harvest sun. With both of these you of course need to place the generators in a location where there is either wind or sun.

My question is what is a Fusion generator pulling up and how efficient is it comparee to the solar.

Thx

I'm pretty sure fusion generators pull up radioactive (minerals), but I'm not sure on it's stats.

Question about Fusion Power Generators..

What resource do they harvest? What do I need to sample for? I'm guessing it's sun, or wind.. perhaps Radioactive material?

you put it on a radioactive source just like you would place a solar in a spot with good solar energy. Radioactive mineral is all but useless in crafting.. I dunno why we can even mine it.. it should be like wind and solar.. cant mine radioactive. The fusion gen is not mining radioactive, it is using it to make fusion power..

Ok.. so I survey for an area that has a high radioactive content, plop it down and it harvests, turning that material into some sort of energy that I can then use to power other equipment..

Correct?

Thanks PD,

Radioactive can be used as power just like the solar power, I will set a medium down if I find a real good site for radioactive to build up my power reserves, and this is only cause I can't afford to buy a Fusion and can't make them yet.

can the fusion generator harvest

Unknown Petrochem Fuel ?

it says that it is energy [liquid] so i dunno people tell me that this thing mines it so you can use them.

if not than is fusion gen better than solar and wind ?

Perpetual_Dark,

All but useless in crafting ? Are you JOKING ? Have you looked at the stats on radioactive materials ? Potential Energy and Total Quality are through the roof with most of it, this stuff makes the BEST medicines in the game, it is highly valuable !

I believe radioactives are required in some Combat Medic medicines (poisons and the like) but I really don't know exactly. Another reason to mine it is that it CAN be used as power (instead of wind/solar/fusion) so if you know a 99% place for radioactives you can plop a medium mine there and be as good as 50% solar (just an example). I assumed solid petrochem fuel was also a viable alternative to the normal energies, but I've never tried personally and my friends have all gotten the "you have no power to deposit" message when testing it out.

Well, there's my 4 credits (inflation sucks :-/)

Solid Petro fuel doesn't work, only radioactive.
