Ok quick question on building Identical walls.

If I use 10 structural mods using silicastic ore and steel and the finalcombine with silicastic ore and steel for the wall schematic, when I load it to to the factory I know i must use the silicastic ore and steel for the actuall wall assembly, but the the 50 lets say structual mods, can I use copper and cabonite ore.

Or do all the structual mods need to be factory made with all the same serial numbers as the initial 10 you use for the wall schematic.

Bascially I am really confused and could use a pointer or two...

Oh and same question applies to gen turbines for identical manufacturing mechs!

Thx

For factory made stuff, all the components have to be identical. You can use siliclastic and steel for the structural modules, but they all have to be from the same manufacturing schematic, so they'll all be siliclastic and steel. You could then use extrusive and copper for the final wall assembly, but you'll then have to use the siliclastic and steel structural modulesplus extrusive and copper in the factory inputfor the wall modules.

The structure modules don't have to be identical whenproducing wall modules in your factory. If you notice when you make a power core manufacturing schematic and examine it, the serial numbers show up beside the turbine, distributor and conditioner, meaning it requires identical subcomponents. If you make a wall module manu schem and examine it, there is no serial number beside the structure module subcomponent.

I'm guessing the above is true because it takes 10 structs to make a wall instead of 1-1 for power cores and turbines. Making 100 structs would only be able to yield 9 walls (10 for schem, 90 for walls) which is about how many you could get from just grinding through them by hand.

For identical walls the same material must only be used for the walls. Structural mods can be anything. I use to only run identical mods then make a wall schematic. Then I read you didnt need identical structiral mods for the walls. Tried it and it worked like a charm. I had my apprentice do over 170 structural mods and they made walls in the factory just fine=)
