Yeah I know I used caps in my Title sorry to those i 'offended",

What i did was a search on Q-3PO's posts , this is what I came up with ...

He has a post that talks about bugs with the last patch , I found this .

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Announcements&message.id=143#M143

The issue with power consumption on harvesters may be because of potential enegergy, a previously unused stat on the resources. The result is that only 500 quality energy resources actually power at 100%. This is why power appears to be being consumed too fast. By the way, the quality of the resource now allows for power usage to be reduced by half - if the quality of the resource is 1000, power should last twice as long.

No it is not the display is wrong.

150/hr is 3600 a day for a heavy extractor. That is a stated consumption 100% higher than prepatch. That means if you put 500 PE energy into that extractor it will use 3600 units of it per day instead of the 1800 pre patch.

What you are talking about is input, not consumption. You are just repeating the same mistake the devs have made on their response to this issue.

While you are banging your head do some testing and see if you are punishing yourself in vain.

Yes there is a problem with the read, but the actual consumption is not greater than it was pre patch, the clock just don't work right.

Hey, I tracked down this message about the power and everything- essentially it states that the doubling of power consumption is not intended and should be fixed.

lets hope it happens soon!

You are missing point just as like Q did which is not suprising, it is confusing.

I am not taking issue with Power CONSUMPTION. It is working from what people are saying. That is a heavy using 1800 power /day pre-patch is using 1800 power/day post patch. I am also not taking issue with the display although if you accept that power CONSUMPTION has not changed then the DISPLAY is wrong.

The issue is that Q has answered a question with a right answer, the problem is that he is answering the wrong question.

The question (bug) is

Power is display at twice the prepatch rate for consumption. 150*24=3600. Before patch it was 75*24=1800. There is a bug in the display or the consumption, most likely display.

The answer he gave and you quoted is that

When you put power in the extractor how much energy you get is based on PE. So extractors are not using more you are putting crappy power in and it looks like it is using more.

He is saying we are idiots and do not know what PE means. We are saying the DISPLAY of power consumption / hour is wrong.

Get it? Right answer, wrong question.

Fix all that is broken first! Give yourselves a solid foundation to build on. Next, fix the heart of this game, the GCW.
Without it, there is no STAR WARS. Do these two things first! Then worry about Jedi and JTL.
Do this and your player base will love you for it and the game itself will be infinatly better. Do it not, and this game is dead.
May the force be with you.

you really should do some research...

The numbers he was referring to DIDN'T go live.

The numbers that went live are actually INCREASES to hopper size and spec rate!

The whole double power thing is a display bug. go watch your harv for an hour and see how much power it takes... bet ya it only takes half of the displayed rate. Ya... in the UI, someone multiplied that number by 2... but it only affects the display, not the actual function.

So, let me state this again, so everyone else understands...

Harvesters are working fine.

Hopper sizes and spec rate are INCREASED when experimented properly.

Double power consumption is a DISPLAY BUG. It doesn't actually use that much.

Hope that clears things up a little.

Unless this has changed as well, potential power is converted to a static unit of power when you transfer it to the harvester. Previous to the recent changes at least, higher PE power would appear as more units of power on the add power interface. If I had 100k units of 650PE power it might appear as 140k units available in the add power window. Once the units are transfered to a harvester they have a static value. Differing PE would not be reflected in power consumption of units viewed on a harvester status window, only in terms of units used from inventory for the same effect.

Ya, the power still reads like that in the deposit window, TwoHead. I have about 60k of high PE Class 4 called Cuvi atm, and it reads as like 90something thousand units.

From what I've seen from the past couple of days, I agree, it's a display bug. Power consumption has not doubled.

You don't understand guys... prior to PE having any effect all power was essentially 1000 PE so if you put any power in there it recognized 1000 PE and ended up costing you 1800/day to run. Now the 100% mark is 500 PE .... If you put 1800 units of 1000PE power into your harvester it will cost you 1800 units to run ... just like it did before. The difference being that they benchmarked off the 1000PE power not the harvester itself.
