I respeced to Master Arch from Master Doc when I came back to the game, so forgive me if its noobish.

Iv been trying to make some decent Harvs, mainly Mineral.

The best Iv been able to do is a BER 9 on Med, and 12 on Large.

Now Iv gotten BER 4 and 6 Respectfully, and use HR- 914, SR-910, and UT- 918 steel. Im running green in EVERY resorce area...but the gas. I can never get a gas (or chem when crafting tools) to register on the quality bar. Usualy needs a toughness and, well gas doesnt have a UT.

Am I doing somthing wrong? Not using the right resorces? Do I just suck as a Arch? :/

What you probably need to do is make sure your mining part is experimented as high as possible. Its not good enough just to hit BER 4 or BER 6 on the mining part, you want to experimenent it > 90% range.

That steel is kind of marginal quality but should be about good enough. I would recommend looking for a duralloy with better stats though, cause that will make it easier.

Gas quality doesn't matter since it doesn't have the stats relevant to harvesters.

Make sure your using Lube Oil as much as possible when crafting that stuff, it has none of the stats you need so it fills the spot and doesnt count for you or against you.

Agreed the metal your using is good but you can probably do a little better. Experiment needs to get to 90% or higher in the components in my experience to assure a BER 10-13 extractor.

Make sure your experimenting a few points at a time also, doesnt always make a huge difference but 1-2 points at a time vs 5-10 at a time can sometimes grant a small but noticable difference.

/agree. You should live and breath Duralloy Steel. Try to not settle for less than 950 on UT, SR and HR

Actually you can do with less on HR and SR, you'll have to experiment yourself to see what you're tolerant of. Don't forget Carbonite Steel, Kammris Iron, and Quadrenium Iron. The quadrenium can sometimes be good enough for mineral and water harvesters, sometimes not.
