Thread: Surveying.

Hey, I am fairly new to Galaxies and I just Mastered Doctor, now I want a new challenge. I think Architect will be it. I just wanted everyones opinion on how far i should go in the Surveying branch. Thanks for any answers.

Surveying is optional for architects. If your doing your own mining then its helpful to have the full branch so you can survey a wider area for resource densities. But I'd consider it very optional and not at all necessary. You can certainly get by without surveying. If you buy your resources then you don't need it at all.

You need Survey IV imo. I like to be self dependant and not to need to rely on others to buy resources. Thats a pain 
Also theres a big difference in Survey III vs IV. So go get Survey IV. But then again, if you dont wanna drop any Doc skills... Anyway, survey would help you get doc resources as well.

Im a Master Doc and Master Architect. I love both professions yet If your going to want to place a Vendor for your deeds, which requires busness III for one vendor, you will only be able to take Surveying III. That will be ALL your skill points as well so it would look like this Artisan 4/0/3/3 MAster Arch MAster Doc. and of course Master Medic.

if your trying to find higher densitys on surveying a tip i read on a guide said to go in the cardinal directions(N,S,W,E). thats worked for me so far. might help you.
