What do you guys think of a new "learn" feature....

BASICLY...if we aquire a deed for say...a Covert Faction scanner...we can build them.

a Factional HQ...We can build them.

but...heres the kicker

If we make them, not only make it so we get xxxx number of faction points...we get a small ammount of usage faction points for people using it.

So...Flame on.

How many architects really care about faction points? I don't. I am a businessperson. I supply both sides of the GCW.

Many crafters don't have much in the way of combat skills, even those that belong to factional PAs.

I care about the GCW and im an architect. The GCW isn't just for combat characters. Medicas can heal the troops in battle. Entertainers can heal their battle wounds. Architects (should) make HQ turrets, towers, and Weapon Smiths Armor Smiths (could maybe) make faction only weapons/armor.

The game is called "an Empire divided". The Game is SUPPOSED to revolve around the struggle between Rebels and Imperials. Anything that lets other professions get more of a piece of the GCW I am all for.

You misunderstand me. I care about the GCW. I want to make factional bases, turrets, etc very badly indeed. I've made several posts on the GCW board and on the dev board stating that.

What I don't care about is faction points. I have no desire, with my lack of even novice marksman skill, to be overt or covert. The way I look at it, every good businessman would be supplying both sides of the struggle. After all, when Joe Weaponsmith sells his scout blasters, they can and do go to opposite sides of the conflict. The same with any other product that is used in the battle. Why should architects, if we are ever given the chance to make factional structures, be treated any differently?

Faction points dont have that much to do with being overt or battling. If you earned lots of faction points for supplying a big base you could then in turn buy some cool new furniture for yourselff or for your customers.

If you a true businessman you would turn in the factionpoints for items and sell it to your customers. Obviously there needs to be more variety of items that you can get, but if all u got was stormtropper armor you would make a killing in money.

And also since your not good at combat then you would be the kind of person that would really need the faction points to buy some protection. You can buy some guards to help you when your running to your store or harvester. And if you really need protection, save up for a ATST.

Im sorry, but I cant understand how faction points are to no use for you? You can get some pretty cool stuff, and if u dont want it can get cool stuff to sell for lots of credits to others.

Maybe I'm the one misunderstanding you then.

You are saying you don't have to be declared on one side or the other to buy an at-st or other faction perks? Isn't there a limit on how many faction points you can accumulate by rank?

I still don't see why any businessman should be treated differently than any other. Do weaponsmiths get faction points if a rebel uses their weapons to kill an imp or vice versa?

I think that shane is missing your point Deoka. As a Master Arch myself I would NEVER declare myself to one side or the other. By doing so you immediately cut your customer base in half. (Remember you can't trade w/ opposing factions). You cannot purchase anything with your faction points unless you declare yourself to a faction first.

I could care less about faction points, but I'm hoping that the rebs and the imps will be able to destroy each other's structures in turn bringing more business to me.
