Sorry for the Noob question, but, do structure factories give XP for every item created just like grinding it out yourself?
I've heard conflicting reports, but i'd like to get some solid info. I do appreciate your patience with me.

Well that freaking sucks.
So get it all in now and get it going basically!
Does anyone know for a time frame for this?

As of yesterday Factories give 10% experience. You get XP if you are offline as well. This was how they were supposed to be according to what they said at the end of beta.

I maybe in the minority, but I don't get why everyone is so upset on the Change to Factory's.
The way it worked before.. 10% Exp while online and away from the factory a certain distance, 100% if you were next to it. ZERO Exp while offline.
Now. 10% EXP at all times, including OFFLINE.
I'm a Novice Architect, almost to Level 2 Installation and I have yet to build a factory.
I see it this way, if your Online and crafting and you have a factory running you'll be gaining 110% exp.. And while off line, if the factory is running, you'll still be gaining EXP.
I can see being slightly upset that others have climbed the Skills faster because of this over sight of the Devs, but I feel How they have set factories to work now is the correct way and really doesn't bother me and will help our profession in the long run.
again, feeling like I'm in the minority, but that's my .02 Cents worth.

well as you get higher in the ranks of Architech you will learn the error of you ways young padawan. lets take a lvl 4 anything.. it has things that are REQUIRED TO BE BUILT IN A FACTORY. OK? There is a structure, i forget which one, that requires 6 wall sections from a factory, 2 generator turbines and 6 storage modules all from factory only. Now if you figure the resources involved, that is over 20k resources or 40k xp... now because you MUST build them in a factory you only get 10%.. or 4k xp... You just lost 36k xp because you must build it in a factory. this is why we are all so upset.. I dont care if "this is the way it was supposed to be in beta" if thats the case then the beta was screwed too. Forcing me to use the same amount of resources and only get 10% xp is Bull Pooh.
