Thread: Question about schematics...
Does it require an amazing success to make a manufacturing schematic? I keep tring with decent resources to make a structural module, but every one is a greta success and I get no option to make a schematic. Anyone have an answer?

You need to be near a crafting station or a droid with a crafting module in it to be able to make schematics. Also you don't need to use good resources with structural modules.
go to station of same type as tool, start crafting item. Experement on item. You will be given option to create prototype or create Manufacturing schematic. After you choose the schematic drop a Factory of the same type as your tool, and station. Stick the schematic in the factory with power and a lil maintneance (just in case). Stick materials into input hopper (must be exact same as those used in crafting the item.
Turn it on. Go to sleep. Wake up and empty out the output hopper.
Sleeping is optional , but everything else is mandatory.

I am standing in between private structure station and weapon droid and general stations. I've tried both general and structure tools, I never get the option to experiment or select schematic, it just finishes the item
get away from the general station.. dont use other tools..
Strange that the general crafting station was causing the problem...walked over picked it up, and made a schematic....thanks a ton for helping me with that. That means that you can only use one station at a time?

They can all be placed at the same time, they just need to be seperated a bit. The distance can be random but it just depends on the room layout. You can only craft using one crafting tool at a time. You dont have to wait for one to finish making an item before you go onto the next though.
