I was doing some crafting on furniture, and there is a chest (the half moon shaped one) and a curved couch that I could only craft from my personal station. I tried to craft it at the public station, but the schematicwasnt in my crafting tool, and away from a crafting tool, it wasnt available.
Oh, my question, hehe..... Is this by design? Or a known issue. Are their certain schematics that can only be crafted when near your own personal crafting station?

probably by design. Certain schematics require a private crafting station to be able to make them.. others a public or none.

The item's complexity determines what kind of crafting station you need.
I forget what the actual ranges are, but it's something like this.
Complexity A-D = No Station Required
Complexity E-K = Public Station Required
Complexity L-Z = Private Station Required
A public station is any crafting station inside an NPC city/outpost.
A private station is any crafting station inside a player structure (regardless of actual ownership).
A droid acts as a private station of rating 0.
