I know this isnt a Trade Forum, but I'm interested in feedback from Architects to seeif there's a market for pre-made walls and perhaps other subcomponents.
I take my ore and my metal, I make the bricks, I make the walls, and you buy the # of walls you want/need for 9k each.
This would save you time from having to make bricks and the walls, you just get to assemble them into structures.
Would there be any interest in this kind of shop if it was on your server?

I hate making walls almost as much as Generator Turbines.
They consume a rediculous amount of resources and only crate up to 10.
If the price were right, I'd buy em. Then I could all but forget about mining ore and crap metal.

I'd be a lot more likelty to buy them in crates than singles. If you had a vendor stocked up consistently then you'd get business from folks that want to finish up an order. Say I need to build 10 heavies for an order and I'm 15 walls short then I would definitely consider running by your shop to get those walls.
It would be price sensitive though. Depending on the cost of raw materials on your server, 9k is probably a decent price. I wouldn't be paying a huge premium though unless its just a convenience item.
Other parts besides walls are a little more difficult. I do mostly schematics for my deeds so I like to have availability of parts. But I might buy a couple crates of generator turbines so I could run off a batch of mediums or something. Once again though it would be pretty price sensitive.

I know that on some servers that ore is dipping below 3cpu. 9k was just based upon a value-add to my architect customers to maintain a 3cpu price, but give them product they can put to useinstead of justraw resources. Besides that,I've got an unused static structure factory that I'd like to put to use once in a while.
Is there anything else I could make that thequality of the resource doesnt matter that architects dont like to make (a.k.a. walls) that might entice an architect to come shop and buy instead?

Pore cores are one that I would buy. I only need them once in a while so its a pain to put together a schematic and do a run.
Crates of Small structure storage modules in large numbers and Crates of Generator turbines in large numbers would both have potential.

I'm retiring from architect on Starsider and selling off the few walls I had left after running down all the other subcomponents. It took me a few weeks to get 'em to move, I finally gave in and put 'em on the bazaar at 6k to get rid of 'em. When I was getting started (back in December), I found a few people who would pay 12k per wall - I made as much money grinding up to master as I did in the first month or so afterwards.
I bought walls when I could find someone to supply them *regularly*. I've had a couple of "apprentices" use my ore/metal to grind out wall modules for me.
I could never see circumstances under which I would buy someone else's OMU/TFDP/HHM - all you know for sure is the BER rating, the actual percentage you're taking on faith. (As some people who have shopped on the bazaar have discovered.)
But for non-experimented things, I agree, power cores would be good. Structure storage modules (I used mountains of small structure, but only needed "regular" structure storage modules occasionally and almost always made a special run for the occasion), manufacturing mechanisms, generator turbines... Though the turbines would have to be done in big, clearly labeled runs.
Ah well. Good luck to you!

Since both structural mods and walls can be factory crated, I always have an abundant supply always instock. When I make them, I normally make morethan a 100 walls at minimum; that's only 10 crates. I make sure to replenish. I just make another schematic and let er' rip.
The total resources used for walls is 3000, and 3 cpu for the price is reasonable and affordable - being I use the 10k perwall formula.
But, I have neverand probably never will buy them and I dunno if there's much of a market for this or other components as there are so many crafters out there.
Now, the ore mining units on the other hand(or Harvesting mechanism and some others), since they can't be crated, often has to be factoried made and needs to be BER6's, I may consider buying these if the price is right.

I am located on the Shadowfire server, i am an architect 2-2-2-2 and am currnetly building walls for a master who buys them from me for 9k per. It works great for me cause i get good xp and make money at the same time. It seems like a fair price to me.

I would happily grind walls all day long for the experience. Give me the resources, keep me trained, and I will sit in your house and grind all night. Do not know the finer details of pricing and what not, but it seems like the master would get walls for resources plus apprentice points, and I get the experience. This sounds like the perfect opportunity for both parties...
