Added Structure Maintenance Module to the DE skill tree: This module will allow a player to pay maintenance on structures they own from a remote location. dont know just how far away a remote location is classed as but i think this is another blow to our profession imo..... soul

I don't think it will hurt too much. I assume mostly harvesters die due to lack of maintenance because players forget or are not able to get in game to pay the maintenance. A droid won't fix either of those.

I agree with Pawlin. Also, as a DE I think that they will be pretty useless for harvesters anyway. They only do maintainance - they don't deposit power. So if someone puts out 8 harvesters (for example) they will certainly need to put enough power into them to last till the character can physically go out and deposit more power (and presumably empty the hopper). So if you put (for example) 5 days of power into them, it seems pretty useless to only put 3 days of maintainance into them with the notion that you'll be sending your droid with another 3 days of maint money soon.

they are of limited usefulness...
1 droid can only manage 9 strucutures --- so i will need 3
they can only do maintnece runs if you are on the planet with the harvetsors --- and you cant use anotehr droid till its finshed...not really a time saver there
the only benefit is being able to check the maintnece all at once...i have tried and tried but i can never getall my harvetsors with the same amount of money and power....there is always one or 2 that stops working or needs maintence before the others atleast i can get a better idea of what they are doing at the moment
all in all this droid publish is really weak...none of the new droids really does anything...i think the scouts may like theirs but i dont really see what their droid does that you cant do betetr with a simple kill/harvest macro...i

I will parrot what I have seen on the DE board, just as a contrast to what you have said. I am not saying this *IS* how it works, just that its how the people testing it say it works.
1 droid can handle up to around 50 structures, thats experimented fully, and with 6 modules in the droid (R3 droid). Youi no longer need to be on the same planet, but there is am issue fi the harvs are not named. If they are named uniqely, the module behaves much better.
I doubt I will use them for any harvs, but they will be great for homes, storehouses, tents, and factories. I know someone who lost about 8 million worth of T-21's in a factory due to a time warp bug and the owner (not him) wasn't around to let him know they were decaying during the 2 days it took to eat 50k of maint and poof. If its true 1 droid can maintain so many structures, I'll only need a single one to keep up with every above-mentioned structure.
