hi there,
i am long time a bit bothered in matter of storing stuff and it looks civilized.
atm we all use backpacks of all kinds to store items in our houses so it dont look mess. thats fine but not what i like to have all times.
so my question to the devs is:
why we cant get just lockers, chests and such which work similar to a backpack? can store into it like 20 to 50 items depends on size?
so that a player can choose what to drop in the house to organise the items. backpacks, chests, lockers, armoire?!?
i mean why not? all items inside a "backpack" still count again the item limits so we dont mess up dataspace or such, but it adds way more sense to furnitures and fun with decorating.
i mean come on a locker which cant contain anything in it?
pls make furnitures not just deco, give them a sense

Posted in the 'Not a 'lot'' thread about kind of the same thing, but this is something I can expand on..
Other RPG games where you get a 'trophy' system of house/item storage usually don't have an item cap inside the house, so if you can see space you can use it.. In SWG of course if 95% of your house is empty but you have a couple of full bags then you can see at that space but cant place anything..
House item storage should be able ot be increased based on architect experimentation, as well as durability and also maintenance cost would be nice.. So lets say you 100% effectiveness you got x2 the normal base item space at 0% effectiveness (the current ammount)
House storage items would be a great idea! You could store things in a locker/drawer/cupboard and not a bag hanging on the wall.. But I also think that their own item limits shouldn't apply to the actual house item limits apart from the intial placement of the item (1 item space or perhaps more for larger storage capacity items)... This would give people an incentive to buy the items to supliment the storage on their houses, if I had the choice of bagging everything up, or using a chest for the same purposeI would still use bags as they are simple to use and if I bag everything up I can just give the bag to a customer..
But all in all a quality idea, I just think the real issue of storage should be addressed first before giving people another way to store items. That issue for me at least is why can I see space, but I can't use it.
