I recently went shopping to furnish my house and noticed something quite depressing. All the furniture is the same - no customizations! The futon is always in that crappy red/brown, etc.

Is there any word onwhen/if Architechs will be able to color furniture, much like we Tailors do with clothing? Has this subject ever even been broached?

Its been remarked upon and ignored. Personally I'd rather they made our construction tree do something.

been discussed, been submitted to the devs, been ignored and not given any word froms devs like so many other things.

I understand they're busy, I understand they can't respond to every persons posts, I understand they have a database that is struggling to keep up. I understand they have to prioritize waht needs to be done first.

What I can't understand is a lack of communication, especially on something they created. 4-5 weeks worth of submissions from the correspondents of the different professions and only a response (somewhat less than detailed) for 1 weeks worth of items from over 2 months ago.

The game isn't anywhere near as frustrating as just trying to get some information from someone at Sony.
