Thread: So I re-deeded the factory after making 100 items, and now...

... the only option on the radial menu I get are to access the ingredient hopper and the output hopper...

I know this isn't supposed to happen, but is anyone else getting this? Factory has power and maintenance, and now I can't do a DERN thing with it.

You have to put a new schematic in the factory.

I logged on to this forum specifically to figure this problem out.

All I did to fix it was to make a schematic. Until I made one, i had the same problem you had. Just make a schematic and you'll be fine.

But the option to access the schematic slot is not there.

you have to have a schematic in your datapad for the option to appear.

Sigh... well I would have a schematic in my datapad if "REMOVE SCHEMATIC" was working... I tried 10 times to remove the schematic I was working with before redeeding it.

Sony --- WHEN WILL YOU FIX THE FACTORIES!?!?!??!?!?!

I understand... suggestion for you when you redeed... find the least resource intensive product you can make and make a "dummy" schematic to insert into the factory. either that or keep a couple old schematics you can't use anymore because you ran out of the resources and use those to re-deed with for now.

not great solutions, but its a work around from losing that resource intensive schematic from going away with the factory.

Well, i have the same problem. Wanted 40 items, made a schematic for 40. Created the items with no problem. No more use for the factory atm, so i reclaimed the deed. Later, I placed the factory in a new location and I have no options other than the input and output hopper. I think these were the only options at the time I reclaimed it. I read some post, and went back to town to make a new dead. I now have a deed in my data pad, but still no other options on the factory. I even added more material for the deed that was last used in the factory with no luck.

Any other ideas other than using it as a wind block?

I make up crap schematics of really cheap items (the level one chair works well) before I start factory runs. Then, when it's time to redeed, I swap out the good schematic for a crap one, redeed, then pop in the good one again. Rinse, repeat.

Everybody, here's the deal.

  • Why does this happen?
The reason you don't get many options when clicking the manufacturing options is because you do not have any schematics in your datapad. The factory recognizes that you don't have a schematic automatically and doesn't give the load schematic option because it would be useless without one.

  • How do I fix this problem?
Simple. All you need to do is make a schematic. Some people make a junk schematic, some people make the next schematic they need.

  • Is this bugged?
Yes and no. It works as intended with one exception. You cannot get your schematic out unless you have another in your datapad. That should be fixed. The devs need to make sure the game queries the db to see if you have a schematic already loaded.
