Thread: DEVS Trying to reduce the database load? Nerfed Ore & Daily Shifts?
I've been trying to figure this out (since no Devs will post about it). Why is it that you have nerfed Ore concentrations, making anything over 55% extremely rare? Why are you now making resources shift repeatedly, at least once a day?
BTW, I was tracking resources on TC every single day, looking for Duranuim or Duralloy or Ditanium steels. ABout3 days after the shifts started, (the 11th) Ditanium shifted out and Duranium came in. I was happy and dropped 4 miners on it. The very next day, Ditanium was back and Duranium was gone. There is no way I misread or made a mistake. I kept track on paper and logged the dates & times. The same stuff is occasionally shifting out & in every other day.
Are you trying to get control of the INSANE economies. 180k for a Miner? 60k for a crate of drinks?! 250k for a big house? 30k on a little gun?
Are you trying to reduce the load on that stupid database? Less mined resources (due to artisans going broke pulling miners up every day till they can't afford to run them anymore) equals less resources floating around the universe equals less items crafted equals less database load.
Are you trying to setup the return of the Miner Profession? (please!?)
Are you trying to get a bunch of artisans to drop crafting and become CH's? (we all know we could use another few hundred pets running around) It seems like CH is the "pet" class (pun intended).
WHats the deal? But then, I dont know why I bother. You guys have made it painfully clear that you will NOT address the issues you think will bring you heat.
We KNOW you read the forums! We KNOW you know what we (the paying customers) are upset about. Have the decency to at least post saying "We understand you are unhappy with (insert issue), but it will remain in the game as-is for the foreseeable future as the Development Team feels it is working as we desired."
