Thread: How to Change the Owner of a House?

Recently, several of my friends have given up on SWG, left the game, and canceled their accounts. One of my friends owned the Large Naboo house and he left me the keys and everything in it. (Trust me this was really a great gift and none I ever expected.) He put me on the administration list so I have full access to the place. The question is, how can I change the title over and put it into my name?

Will I have to empty the house, destroy it to deed, then rebuild it? (I hope not. And, can I even do this since I am not the official owner and he can't be reached anymore since his account is closed?)

Or, is there a magic button I can push that will transfer the title?

The house has about 60 days maintanence left on it. If I destroy the house to deed, does the maintanence fee remain? Some of it, all of it, or none of it? (I know harvesters loose some of their maintance fees when you reduce them to deeds.)

Last question; Can I place a Large Naboo house on another planet besides Naboo?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I belive the only way to transfer owership is to have the owner use the command /transferstructure (struture name) while targeting you...

The easiest way to do it is to either stand in the House (or target if it's a harvester) and then type

/transferStructure <playername>

Please not that this only works if the player you are transferring it to is standing within a reasonable distance of the structure.

I just read the rest of that post.....

To do the transfer of ownership, the actual owner (i.e. the player that has quit the game) would have to log on and do the transferStructure command.

As for placing the house on another planet you just have to have a house that was made after the big player city patch. Any houses made before that are only good for their specific planets. You might get lucky and find a nice Architect that is willing to build you a new Large Naboo in exchange for your old one.

I am on Dantooine also right now and the Naboos are great there. If you would like a suggestion for better storage and lot usage, you might want to scrap that Large Naboo (6 Lots) and get 3 Medium Naboos (6 Lots also) and place them side by side. It looks like a huge mansion then and you actually have 450 worth of storage space as opposed to the mere 250 you get with one Large on the same number of Lots.
