There are 2(?) types of Inert Petro. A Polymers andLubricating Oils. Sounds like you have the Oil.

You might also check out the Artisan forum, since the travel pack is in their build tree.

Hello All,
I have been attemptingto make a simple travel pack (although simple no longer applies here). One the ingredients it's looking for is "polymer". Since it does not specify, I assume any polymer bases resource will do. When looking through all of my resources, I only find inert petrochemical which is a polymer base. However, that ingredient is not acceptable when making a travel pack. Does anyone know exactly what is needed for this simply crafted item? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can manually sample for it, setup harvesters to extract it, or buy it. Check the bazaar.

This confused me a bit at first too. The "polymer" resource class is a subclass of Inert Petrochemical. When you see polymer on sale on a vendor or even in your inventory it will be listed as an Inert Petrochemical. You have to actually examine the object details to determine what type of Inert Petrochemical it is.

And to be totally clear, you need a chemical survey device to find it and chemical extractors to harvest it.

If quality is not important, there is almost always some cheap polymer on the bazaar.
