Can anyone help me on placing buildings? The manual says that when you use a deed a special screen comes up that allows you to see where you can and can't build. Whenever I use a deed I just get a message saying "You cannot place a building in your current state" What does that mean?

Occasionally i get a "Building is not premitted here" but almost always it is that cryptic "State" message. I looked for flat terrain free of obstacles that is away from cities but no matter where i go i seem to get that **edit** "wrong state" message.. any advice?

Its lag. Stand still for 10-20 second then try again. You must be at least 1500m from any city. Some areas are off limits as well, since they are reserved for POI spawns.

You need to be standing still. Stop moving and wait 30 secs... Sometimes, due to lag, the server believes you are still moving... Standing still for a few secs should give the server time to figure out you ain't moving. Also you do need to be at least 1000m away from a town.... Place a waypoint in town, then zoom your radar way out to 1024m... When the city waypoint is on the edge of the radar screen you should be able to place your structure.
