Ok, is it me or is anyone else having an extremely hard time completing any sort of building in the architect tree? I am a Mon Calamari, which according to the strategy guide gets benefits for structure building. Why is it that every time I put all the pieces together to complete a building it fails? I am to the point of it no longer being fun, just frustrating. I've tried building 2 factories and a house and haven't succeeded in any. Any hints?? What am I doing wrong? Or am I just bugged?

Find the best resources, go to a general public crafting station and experiment on a Structure crafter to get the stats up on it. That should reduce the amount of critical failures.

I blew three houses in a row in a span of about ten minutes. I don't think there's any architect out there who hasn't gone through the same growing pains. Personally I'm going up the Furniture branch first, to get the bonuses to success rate.

Yes different resources yield different bonuses to your success rates with components and thus final building construction. You will have to experiment to find which are the best. I don't use any component that gets less than a 'good' success and have relatively few failures, but I do have them. On the bright side you still getdecent xp on the components so it's not a total waste.
