Not nearly enough.

There are not enough people whowant houses right now in relation to the number of Architechs building them.

I'm selling houses for 10k because everyone is undercutting. I can't get resources unless I buy them and by the time I'm done I make nothing for any less that 10k. Too bad a lot of architects didn't treat the credits as real money. They wouldn't so easily give up houses for no profit.

so I'm on wanderhome, and I have a few questions.

First, I would like to buy a small home sometime soon, so I was wondering how much it'd cost me?

second, can you put a house just anywhere, or do you need to build it in a specific place?

third, when you build a house, do you need to build it where you want it, or can you carry it around until you find a spot you like? I guess that goes with my second question...hehe

Thanks for any input on this

The house will cost you anywhere from $0 to $15,000 depending on the architect, what planet you're on, server, and availability of Ore in your area. If you have all the resources, which you probably don't, you may get the house for free.

When the Architect builds a house for you, or any structure for that matter, it gets deposited into his inventory as a "deed". This is then traded to the buyer for whatever is agreed upon. You can then carry this deed as long as you like until you find an ideal spot for your house. Your house can't be close to a cliff, directly next to water, within about 1,000 meters of a city, or close to any NPC buildings. Beyond that, it can't be placed where there are permanent landscape features already in place such as trees.

"Use" the deed from your Inventory when you are in the space you want. You will get an over head map of the immediate area you're in with an outline of your house. Green hash marks mean it's ok to place the house...red means it's not ok. Move the house around until you find a green spot, and keep experiementing until you find an area that suits you.

Hope that helped -

I charge anywhere from 12-15k on Naboo/Gorath and I sell maybe one a day, which is fine for now.

There are a lot of architects because of them putting PA hall at the top of the tree, thereby guaranteeing too many architects as every guild sponsors one grinding to the top. Nice move devs. Should have allowed formation of guilds without a hall.

Sorry, getting off track.

Everyone needs to remember that owning a house isn't free. It costs about 500 credits a day for maintenance. And really unless you use it for a business or a crafting location, they aren't terribly useful except as a neato toy to own.

You can put then anywhere you can normally build, but they require a large area of flat land. You can carry the deed around until you want to place it.

I have two questions:

1) Can you reclaim a house like a harvester, and if so, how much maintenance has to be in it.

2) What the heck does residency signify?

thnks ... that answered everything I wanted to know......the maintenance cost bothers me, since I was thinking of plopping a house down in the middle of nowhere (hopefully up in the mountains) between a couple cities and then healing people who came by (I have some medicskills and entertainer skills) for tips and just generally giving people a safe place to crash in the middle of a trek across tattoine..... I may need to find a reliable source of income before I make the investment then...

Thanks again

I reclaimed the deed on my freshly built Small Naboo House yesterday after deciding to move to Tatooine where the architect grass is greener.

It required only 800 in the maintenance pool to reclaim the deed, which I found strange since Personal Harvesters require 1500. Doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, at least I got the house back and sold it.
