Personally I think houses should be able to be destroyed, same with harvestors that way there is always a need for them AND, if you make a high quality structure it will be noticeable vs a PoS one. They would be very hard to destroy, only certain weapons could deal it damage plus you could get turrets and all sorts of cool stuff.

*Dreams on*

Rocket launchers and flame throwers should be the only weapons able to knock down structures, and even then should take a long time. But alas, its justa dream I guess, still would be very cool and would make quality structures worth the money.

How about extending an Architects job security by implementing some kind of long term repair system.

So over longer periods of time a large building like a PA hall and larger houses require a special type of repair that only Architects can do.

This would run alongside normal maintance on a longer scale. Sort of like damage vs. Wounds but for houses.

The thing I hate about buildings is the maintenance cost. Obviously it needs to be paid, but the architect is the perfect profession to be doing the repairs. How about something like a house repair kit just like weaponsmiths have for weapons. A person would have to use this on every piece of equipment they owned. They wouldn't have to be as expensive as maintenance is now, but architects just need some long term income and not just these sales that come in and the person never needs to come back again. A person has to continually deal with a weaponsmith.

Unless they plan on adding a *lot* more furniture, anda *lot* more structures with player citys, there will be little need for architects on servers over 2 or 3 month's old. While weaponsmiths and armorsmiths will always have a continous flow of customers.

They should also add structure re-design, coloring.. etc .. these are all things that will make the profession not die off once a server matures.

Maybe let us make power-ups for harvesters too.. and have harvesters wear out after a certain time.

However you can be a lot more than just an architect at least, so spread them points around

Problems:

1. There are to many architects for the population. This will balance out quickly, there are already many quitting.

2. Many PA's raced their architects up to make their hall. Again this is balancing out.

3. The big problem is that you can redeed your harvesters and houses. So eventually everyone will have what they want. And the only new business is a few upgrades and new players.

Solution

1. Personal Harvester and Small Houses you get the maintanence money back only if you destroy it.

2. Medium and above you get .3 credits per and your maintance back.

So everytime there is a resource shift people will have to make achoice to stay or buy a new harvester.

Please let me know what you think,

Harvesters are incredible. You can mine for less than 1 credit per, what do you want?

The problem is in 2 months, there won't be much demand at all. Heck 80% of the people that want houses orlarger harvesters will have them.

So what happens to all the Master Architects? I know there are already people selling small houses for 3k.
