Take the structure modules out of the crates to make walls.

The factories will not remove them from the crate for you.

Exactly. I made about 50 walls in my factory today. BUT I had to do 5 runs of 10 each, taking all the structure modules out of their crates first. Feeding 100 items in by hand when they are already in a crate is crazy. However, I have 50 walls and 0 criticals and lately I had been failing every 5th wall. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR Now I refuse to make (almost) any structure subcombine by hand. Blowing the resources to make the schematic (yes, even a wall) puts you far ahead in the long run.

It does to put you ahead as long as you have the same resources for 50 walls.

**edit** resource shifts!

you don't need to do this the long way. put the structure module crate in the input hopper, then double click the crate a lot of times. it's much faster this way. each double-click will remove 1 structure module from the crate directly into the area the crate is in.

Whenever I double click something in the input hopper it moves it into my inventory instead of taking one out. Unless this changed in the last few days. Only way to take one out of crate is to have in inventory and double click or select remove item from crate.

yea...I realized after a while that if you fail once...just once it equals a schematic

so now I make most all my important stuff by factory...allows me to be lazier too! woot!

Here is another tip, if you have more than 2 buttons on you mouse, have windows select one of the other buttons as a double click. ( Mine is the mouse wheel click )

That way you are not double clicking into carpal tunnel.

OMG.. I agree with Dayln...Thats what I did.

For me though i used the small thumb button on my Intellimouse Explorer... I used the wheel button for voice comms.

Dayln.... I saw someone on Eclipse with (what looked like) your name. Is that your server?

Nope, my charactes name is not Dayln, and that is not my server

Dayln is an old D&D name for a character I had in the 70's when I was in the service. I use it for logins but rarely use it as a characters name anymore.

Yeah I am sort of anoyed with myself for not doing that sooner than I did a few weeks ago, but that double click button saves wear and tear on the fingers.

ahhhhh ye gads!! how could you have the mouse wheel for anything other than scrolling x.x

I never used to use my thumb button cause it just auto runs...now I've gotten attached to that and I hate it when it somehow reverts to double click (which it doesout of the game)

my dual optical vibrates now and it drives me nuts ;.;

Silmaril I have an IntelliMouse and I downloaded software from Microsoft.com to assign doubleclicking to the mouse wheel.
