I would like to start a thread with general facts that we can eventually sticky. I was looking for the information below yesterday and couldn't find it. I found it in two different threads today. I have listed them and who posted them. I'll leave formating and orginization to thosewho are better at it. Please add on if you have had additional questions answered:

Think of that number in more sensical terms as "units per minute". When you buy a 13 KGH max rate heavy mineral harvester, and drop it down on an 80% vein, it's going to be pulling up 10.4 KGH actual rate. (13 x 80% = 10.4).

Now, that 10.4 can be read as "10.4 units per minute". That 10.4 x 60 (minutes in an hour) x 24 (hours in a day) gives you 14,976 units a day.

So, easily - just read "KGH" as "units per minute".

Your schematic tells you. When you open your crafting tool and select the item (e.g. Light Ore Mining Unit) then it tells you what material (steel, ore, etc) you need and what quantities. If you scroll down in that display it will say something like "Extraction Rate" followed by something like this:

25% Heat Resistance
25% Shock Resistance
50% Unit Toughness

That tells you what resource attributes are important to getting good scores for extraction and their relative importance (in this example, UT is 2X as important as each of the other two.)

So if you have two steels that you could use, you pick the one that will give higher overall marks, given this information. That one will give you the best chance to get a high extraction rate.

Can that BER be improved during the final construction? Because it JUST can't be as low as a personal harvester:

Yes, it will be improved upon. I made an ore module of ber 6 and made a 13 rate harvestor from it.
