Thanks for keeping us in the loop here, even though you cannot yet give us the full details. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of you at first, mainly because I really didint know you, and at the time I was a bit frustrated in general. But I think I can speak for most of us here, and say that thus far you are performing admirably as our correspondant. Many thanks, and I look forward to the weeks to come.

P.S. I too recently felt the pain of a factory fire. Except in my case, I used my factory for storing the majority of my resources and subs, including several extinct resources. Over 1.5 million units in resources, and hundreds of subs, gone just like that. At the time I kept my factory on a friends lots, who of course wasnt on for those few days. To make matter worse, I had just temporarily dropped my master arch and a couple trees, after making schematics for everything, so that I could finish up doctor. Im just finally starting to get things back to normal(after regaining the master arch tag of course!). But i certainly agree with you, in that those things burn down way too fast.

I just wanted to let you everyone know a few things..

1).. I really do think That I got lucky.. there are really a great bunch of correspondents representing their respective forums.. and getting to know them and discussing alot of issues I have found myself reading alot of other forums that I would normally probably never have visited.. And I would like to say our group here in the architect forum is really a great bunch of people.. The majority of the discussions here are constructive and productive.. and it really does make it easy for a correspondent to handle issues and pass them on to the right peoples.. (one thing that I have noticed that seems to turn off the right attention is threads full of long flames.. after long frames.. and that is something that I am proud to say does not happen here.. With some organization that I am going to suggest in the next few days and the attitude that our forum already has It will be VERY easy to set things up to easily pass along information to both the devs and to all of us on important issues.. And for all that I thank you.. You really do make my task easy..

2),, About our profession.. Although there are someissues that I cannot discuss now( I am petitioning like crazy to be able to discuss a few things) I do want to say what has come up in the last few weeks really makes me excited and confident about our profession.. Yes adjustments will take time.. and I dont know exactly how long some things will take. It is assuring to know that we are not simply on the back burner.. And that is what I really want to convey to you.. All of us that are architects for the long haul.. and truly do it for the Role Play .. Our patience will be well worth it in my Opinion.. I know that without direct feedback from Development it is easy to get frustrated.. Heck a few weeks ago before I was a correspondent Ill admit I was getting alittle worried.. But all of those feelings are now filled with a large amount of excitement.. And asI see it I have only had a grain of sand size glimpse of what is to come..

3).. A piece of advice.. Not that this is really a huge issue here.. But what I have learned is some posts, though completely valid and full of alot of great information is hard to sometimes take in.. .. I dont want this to sound discouraging and in now way am I saying dont suggest your Ideas.. but when you start your presentation, if you first Try to have in the beginning a Short explanation of your idea.. (as much detail as you can in a few sentences.... Then follow this summary with as much elaboration as you feel fully explains the idea.. That way when anyone reads it They can get see the point you are wishing to make, right off the bat.. If they understand the point you are making at the beginning they are more than likely going to read the entire explanation..

I really hope you understand what I mean in #3,, He he.. Ill admit Im a little frustrated right now.. There was a major accident with Big Momma Corp. today.(my main characters business). and I am still feeling the impact of it.. I seemed to have missed paying the maintenance guys at one of my factories and they decided to go ahead and let that factory blow up... (only had 50 power cores..200 small structure storage units.. and 200 Turbo drills.. and 300-400k raw resources.. ..) I really think these blow up too fast.. House takes a month .. factory takes 2 days.. lol..cry.. sniff..

Anyway.. In conclusion.. Keep up the good work.. and most important Play to play.. and enjoy to Play

Heya, can tell you must've been busy, missed you a bit on the forums. I suppose that means you can't actually share any of the forthcoming plans for architect with the community right now? Seems normal but I ask anyway. Any chance you can just give us a clue in which direction we may be moving ? New structures/renewable income/upgraded structures/bug fixes ? Go on, throw the dog a few scraps...

I feel your pain (and PhazeDistortion's as well) allthough my blow up wasn't as drastic. I lost about 100 camps, two or three crates of bikes and 1000 tatooine sunburns, but it was painfull nevertheless. And it was entirelly my fault. I have all but two of my factories on a xross server lot trade, so there was no warning emails. One day I start a factory run in the equipment factory. The next day I come in and boom neither my Food factory or my equipment factory are in existance! I wait a day to see if it was a log in problem, then I contacted my counter part and had her come check the emails to see if there was actually a burn out instead of a bug. Sure enough, both had burned down. I check the equipment factory and low and behold, down 66%. I quickly added 45K in maintenance, created two new factories and had Ufa reset them for me, and put 45K each into their maintenance.

I now pay maintenance on all my static structures for 30 days in advance, all on the same day of the month, plus use the lot management spreadsheet to keep track of them.

Pesky factory workers will be the death of me yet!

I almost gave up Arch when that happened to me. I'm glad I didn't now.

Btw, I visit many of the boards and you are by far the most informative corespondent I've seen. Just wanted to give you some props.
