Thread: Building 140 Heavy Ore Harvesters at one time.

I was able to make a full run of 1000 walls by using 1 of each type of structural

This is allowing me to make a factroy run of 140 heavy harvesters without
wasting tons of resources on making multiple final product schematics.

remember that you will need to 'manage your factory carefully, the ingredient hopper only take 100 items at a time, as you plan to make 140 Heavy Minerals you will need 280 omus, good luck with these, they do not crate, so you will have 140 single items of these, ALL identical, so making those is a challenge due to factory output hopper aslo being max 100 items.
In short, you'd better have a way of storing all the components, I calculate (by counting a crate as 1 item) that you will need :
280 gen turbines - 19 items
280 omus - 280 items
980 walls - 98 items
840 sssms - 84 items
56k HQ steel - 1 item
56k chem - 1 item
min 1,54 mill metal - 2 items
Total = 485 items, and that is not including if you also want something for the schematic.
I hope you figured out your storage and factory management
you do know that walls in extractors etc do not have to be identical right? in fact structure modules in walls do not have to be identical...
i dont understand what you are getting at trying to make walls the hard way taking 1 of each structure module from batchs of 1000. its crazy and definatly not needed.
in a factory run of extractors you can use hand made walls, walls from 7 different factory runs with different numbers or a combination of these and hey, you can even make them with idendical walls from the same crate.
this goes for anything that needs walls or structure modules and works for items being hand made or made in bulk in a factory.

i made 25 identicle heavies and i was really pleased with that lol.
oh well
good luck with 140,
i tried to stock my vendor with loads of BER10's then make the 25 run of BER13. by the time id managed to get the resources and make the BER13's all the BER10's sold out so ive gotta get more resources to make BER10's grr. Up goes the prices again to try to keep them in stock ![]()
ore mining units should stack!!!!!! I atcually have noticed that there are some days I cannot use different walls and structural modules in my factory. They seem to think they need to be identical and even send me a email that the other structural module ran out. I wait a day and start the fcatory again and np. It was a pain but more confusing than anything.
Cigaran wrote:So let me get this straight, the factories that normally **edit** a fit when somethings not from the same run (i.e. same serial number) doesn't care when it comes to running harvesters that require Wall Modules?! I find this hard to believe but I'd love to see this actually work!!
This has been working for months. Try this test:
Make 1 structure module by hand. Then take 9 structure modules out of a factory crate. Throw in some metal and ore and make a *schematic* for a wall module. Then look at the schematic. It will say metal, ore, and structure modules. The structure modules do NOT have a serial number associated with them. That means to run that schematic in a factory all you have to do is dump in any mixed pile of structure modules that you want - hand made, factory made, different runs, the same run, different people - doesn't matter.
The same is true when you make a schematic for ANY harvester - it will say that you need "wall module" - no serial number.
