You have a pre-nerf fusion from a period when it was possible. It no longer is.

Has to be a way, i have a BER 22 fusion gen,
Folks, we have a perfectly good FAQ stickied at the top of this forum for a reason. The *currently achievable BERs* are all listed there. BER13 is the absolute max for heavy harvesters and BER14 is the absolute max for fusions. There are some examples of harvesters/fusions over those maxes from very specific time periods and/or very specific conversion goofs.
Back to the original question: if a master architect can accumulate +20 structure experiment (giving them +120) then they will have 12 experiment points. This will NOT NOT NOT let them make harvesters/fusions over the max. It will give them a margin of safety for an experiment lower than "great". It will also allow them to put 2 more points into the hopper size, increasing it slightly.
The other use for this would be for someone who is NOT a master to "match" a Master Architect in experiment points. That is, someone who was 4440 could have 10 points, just like a standard master.
EDIT: Also, keep in mind that the value of an increased hopper size is not huge for most people. That is, as a 10-point Master I routinely make BER13 / 120K hopper size heavies. I don't think I could charge a huge premium for a BER13 / 130K hopper size heavy. So the economic incentive for these is nowhere near the magnitude that a Weaponsmith or Armorsmith has for getting to 12 points.

It's not currently possible to make any miner higher than BER13, or any fusion higher than BER14 no matter how many experimentation points you have. Yes, there are some 11 and 12 point architects, but theextra experimentation points are useful only to increase hopper size.

I am a 12- point architect on Gorath. I did this so that I can offer my customers the best.
Yes, BER 13 for chem, mineral, gas, and water and 14 for fusion is the max, but I felt I could domore businessby increasing the storage capacity with the extra points. So far, after a month i have definitly seen an increase in sales. The attachments I bought to get to 12 exp points have paid for themselves twofold.

I have +23 exp/+22 assembly tapes, and i enjoy the larger hopper sizes. Many of my customers do as well. Adding 20k+ extra to a hopper helps out a little. For people owning and running harvester fields it comes in handy. It also allows people with limited storage space to leave the resources in there a little longer. But thats all i can think of that architect tapes are good for. Its sad really. If we could increase BER rating our value of tapes and items would go up again.
They would probably help making lights, lamps, and candles.

Sure it's nice to have a little larger hopper size but seriously even if you left a base13 harvester on a 100% concentration with a simple 100k hopper size it would take five days and some change to fill. Most people I know visit their harvesters a little more often than that let alone the fact that most resources don't even stay around much longer than that /shrug

/pours scorrn on the remark.
If your friend has succeeded in making BER 14 minerals and chemicals then he did it on 'temporary tuesday'. No amount of amazing successes wil give better than a BER 13 for these currently.
