Thread: Making Painting Schematics

I really hate to ask since this is such a newb question. But What crafting tool / station do you need to make the schematic for painting so that I can make a factory run of them. I have tried the structure and furniture one and the weapon, droid, general item. I have both tools and stations for both and they are in my home. The schematic still does not show up.

They are made in the Structure crafting tool, but you also need to have Furniture III to make them.

I do have Furniture 3. I figured out what was causing the fact that I could not see the painting in the crafting tool when I was standing near my crafting station.
My station was too close to the wall lol

You also have to learn the schematic. This will place it in the list of items that you are able to craft.

Click on the schematic in your inventory and select "Learn schematic" which puts it in your datapad.

Ok I do understand that as I thought I should have it already. So where do I get the schematic for paintings. Which quest do I need to do? tks

You must venture forth to the great city of Bestine.
There you must seek out the one they call "The Curator"
He is frequently found inside the museum.
Approach him and ask for the current schematic.
The Curator does not give up his treasure so easliy, however.
He demands a price.
You must search deep within your soul and access your bank account to offer him 43,000cr.
Once you have satisfied his need for cash, he will offer up to you that oh so treasured schematic.
Learn this schematic and cherish its knowledge, for it may only be used twice.
If you should feel an emptiness once you have put forth your best effort at constructing these paintings, you may once again seek out The Curator and he will again offer you enlightenment.

Yes I had already learned it =) The only reason I could not create the schematic was simply because the station was against the wall.

I learned the most recent schematic, the Blue Leaf Temple painting, and logged three times trying to get it to show up. I have furniture 3, the schematic shows up in my datapad with two uses remaining, I was using a structure crafting tool, standing next to an official city structure crafting station, but it was not showing up in my schematics. I even tried going in the generic item crafting tool next to a generic item crafting station.
Can anyone help me?!

I'm not sure what the complexity is but you might try standing next to a private crafting station.
I forget what the breakover point is, but after a certain level of complexity, you have to use a private station to be able to craft them.

I think the poster found his problem but , incase he didnt, or for anyone else having this issue.
Public Crafting Stations - ie the ones in static cities, only grant you the ability to experiment and/or make a schematic.
Private Crafting Stations - ie the craftible ones, are needed to access your high end "crafting station required" schematics. (these also give you a modifier to your experimentation rolls = to the stations rating # )
Crafting stations in Droids are the equivelent of a 0 rating private station.
