Anyone ever notice this in a large house. its not a reflection of my house. it looks like what they tried to do was make it look like it was reflecting your house but it already has a built in reflection.
decided to add this picture as well for fun Big bird

If you look in highly reflective surfaces, like the back of a protocol droid, or deep, deep into a Mon Cal's eyes....
You'll see that there are several of these reflection textures. About 1 per area type. Like there's a Tat indoor and outdoor, and so on. Just enough to give the illusion of being reflective, but without all that extra math. Quite clever, but you're right. It dosen't hold up under Interior Decorator level scrutiny. Creeped me the hell out the first time I saw stuff reflecting that wasn't there.
Good shots, btw. Best examples I've seen.

They are called enviroment maps and they are a cheap way (processing time) to simulate reflections. Shiny surfaces are defined by what they reflect but true reflection calculations take an age to do.

I noticed this when looking at the floor of a generic PA hall.
There iswas reflection of what looked like an overhead ceiling lamp but it didn't change no matter where I went in the room.

Funnily enough I noticed the reflection in a mon-cal's eyes for the first time a couple of night ago, I cannot work out for the life of me what it is meant to represent, but it is certainly a cool effect. I felt a bit stupid later realising I'd been staring longingly into my own eyes for about 10 minutes. Ego, what ego, isn't that an Oedipus complex or somethin`? Nah, wrong one, who was that guy ? Fell in love with his own reflection (and before anyone says it, No, it wasn't Bandola!)

Just remembered, it was Narcissus. Does that make me a Narcissist?

Nah, since it was a CGI, I'd say it makes you a Geekissist.
