Med harvestors get 4 units per min on 100% spot so your gonna get a little over 3 per min, 180/hour and so one so ya about right

Shadowlight has made a very nice interactive spreadsheet for this.

You can download it from his website

This is also why you want to try and find 80% concentrations or higher, though you'll have to make exceptions in some cases, i.e. wind (which you'll rarely find over about 65%).

I too have created a excel sheet to calculate harvestor output, its not nearly as elaborate as Shadowfire's, but it is basicenough thatI also run it on my PocketPC so I dont have to tab out of the game. It is very similar in function to the harvestor calculator found on www.swgcraft.com.

If anyone would like to download it feel free to.
Its at http://www.bobsawyer.net/swgcalcs.zip

There is 2 copies of it, one just uses a smaller font for use on the PocketPC

Hey There--

How do I know what areas of a planet I can drop a harvestor on. I was on Corelia today with a new Deed for Heavy Mineral Harvesor surveying for Afowwiism, wanting to drop my harvestor on any good pockets. I really never found any real good pockets of the stuff, but everytime I did find a good pocket, the game wouldn't let me drop my harvestor, just gave me a message saying no building permitted here. I was on flat land everytime and wasn't in any cities. I was close to several different cities on a couple of tries, but was outside of them before I tried to drop the harvestor (traveled several meteres beyond the message saying I had left the city). So what are the restrictions on building? Also anyplace anyone knows of that gives a good idea on roughly where on the planet the good resource spawns are. I love swgcraft for info on what is spawning. Just would like to be able to find the good % pockets a little quicker.

Thanks.

You have to be roughly 1000m outside of a NPC city or any distance outside of a PC city to plant a structure. Or get rights from the PC's city militia, of course.

You also have to be over roughly 1000m away from any POI to plant a structure.

You have to be on relatively flat land as well, but with the message you got, this wasn't your problem. It was probably the city or POI restriction.

In my experience, Corellia sucks for harvesters. Find a different, flatter, less populatedplanet.

My favourite planet to drop harvesters is Talus. Lots of flat land, not expensive to travel to and not that many cities.

Corellia is very hilly and both it and Naboo have lots of cities in them.

My other favourite planet is Lok but you also have to dodge high end mobs.
