Thread: Power Question
So just pay the 150k for a fuison..... it will pay it self...
Ok, first off I'm not an artisan, but I'm looking for some info and hoping you all can help me out. My mining operation has recently outgrown my power output thanks to the fine new harvesters now available. I have 24 lots at my disposal and would like to use as many as possible for harvesters and as few as possible for generators. I currently need to power 20 medium harvesters and have been relying on wind generators but htey nolonger meet my needs. I know nothing of radioactive power or fusion generators except some heresay that radioactive power is somehow better. Noone I've talked to has been able to elaborate on this for me. Can someone give me the 411 on this. I don't want to spend the 150K for a fusion generator(s) without getting all the facts first. I will apologies beforehand if this is not the right forum for this question. If the is a better place to ask this please let me know.
Thanks,
I suggest that you not run generators of any type, and instead BUY your power from Draznar on Eclipse.
Yes, you could produce your own power a bit cheaper, but, this way you also have an extra lot or two for harvesters mining the minerals you REALLY want. Plus, it's one less resource, one less resource shift, and one less type of harvesterto manage.
In the long-term, you'll have more money in your pocket buying it from someone who focuses only on power, so that you can focus only on the stuff you really want.
Q-0.5: How does the Potential Energy stat. of an energy source work when figuring the amount of power?
A-05: PE of 500 or lesscounts as 1:1 ratio of power : units used. For any PE rating over 500 you will get PE / 500 effective power in your structure for every unit of resource used. (e.g. 1 unit of PE 750 fusion will give you 750/500 = 1.5 units of power when put into your factory or harvester.) Wind and solar have not been seen to exceed 500 but fusion usuallyranges between 500 and 1000.
