Thread: Good news for us
From the dev tracker, highlights are mine:

Okay, this response should be a little shorter than my response to #1...
We basically agree with the assertion that the rewards for missions - especially theme park missions and quests - need to be more robust. We also think that you should get better loot from the major dungeons. Right now, we're looking at some things like:
*New weapons, clothing and armor
*Schematics for the above
*Large resource caches (with resources that have specific qualities we determine)
*Expendable items like grenades and stimpacks
*Badges
*More cool power-ups for weapons and armor
*Items that you might want to display, like a skull or pelt or Rebel flag
*Datapads with actual information about the world, NPCs, etc.
Now, I'm not saying that all these things are going in (or that there aren't any other types of loot and rewards we're considering...), but these are the types of loot and reward items we want to include. And, you should already be seeing some of this stuff now, especially as part of the loot dropped by enemies.
At one point, we did consider making loot revolve around stuff that you might want to display in your home - essentially trophies like you describe. However, when we generated a list of trophies, we thought "this is exactly the type of stuff players would want to make for other players..." And, in fact, we were right - there is a demand for player-crafted decor even now. We want to expand what players can make for decoration, and improve the methods for placing these items, but we need to (say it with me) prioritize our tasks carefully. Adding useful loot is (in my mind at least) higher priority than adding more items to put in houses as decoration.
With all that said, we still like the idea of there being uncraftable trophies (or even wearables) that you can display: you complete a mission for Leia, and she gives you a medal or a Rebel flag for your living room. Or, you kill Dathomir's giant spider and get a large pincer to put on your mantle. These types of rewards are still on our list to add.
We'd also like to eventually revise the UI for placing items in your house and expanding where you can place items (we know you want to hang items on walls).

Well, I suppose some acknowledgement is better than nothing. ![]()

Right now, we're looking at some things like:
These guys are pretty good at thinking up ideas. Unfortunately, they've shown over the last year that they are pretty poor at actually putting these ideas into a game.
The 'dev team' reminds me of a bunch of guys sitting around a table, sipping beverages, and coming up with 'wouldn't this be cool' ideas.
To date, they haven't shown much more ability than that.
Don't you love the combat-centric world we play in?
Adding useful loot is (in my mind at least) higher priority than adding more items to put in houses as decoration.
So, us archi's are supposed to go kill a bunch of things in our copious spare time? Thanks for enhancing the most viable of all the professions....."Guy with a Gun"
How about giving us something cool to sell that you can't just pick up off a thug who takes 2 seconds to kill?
Better loot? Hell, just start having random plasma theives carry PA Hall Deeds around! That would be some good loot, and screw the Archi's at the same time too!

Sounds like a sales pitch.. The fact of the matter is they database is broken. They cant add more things.. only subract.. nerf etc.. He is probably talking about a year from now after they figure out how to fix the database etc. The are going to say everything they can right now to keep you here waiting and paying.. They say one thing and do the opposite constantly.. Yes Holo, critical fails on final combines should be much lower after last patch.. blah blah blah.. They freaking doubled. It's all corporate political Clintonism. Sorry to rant but its so obvious now more than ever..
Lets put the bitterness aside. Bitterness gives you ulcers. And ulcers hurt! And if you already have them, well, don't make them worse.
Lets try to focus on the fact that they talked about it, and listed it as something they plan to add. This is positive! This is steps taken to address the problem.
Feel happy about this! Allow yourelves to hope! Lets not drop the standard, and lets keep up the pressure, but things are turning around! Positive thoughts!
It is nice that they going to add more stuff to add to a house that 50% of the players don't even need (even it this is the lowest of priorities.)
I would just wish they would get serious and add something for architects that actually made a difference. We need something that will help the war effort (and not just the harvesters to supply weaponsmith and armorsmiths.)
I have yet to even declare a faction because I dont feal I have anything to offer.

They also need to raise the item limit for houses. 150 for a medium house may be all right it you are a combat type, but for crafters, it means you can have very little furniture or decoration in your house.
