Is it possible that this is actually a new bug of some kind?

I figure this will backfire and ultimately hurt us.
People like decorating their houses in a specific way and once they get everything positioned they don't want to mess with it again until they decide to redecorate.

Unless there is some sort of "lightbulb" introduced into the system that lets people recharge their lights without requiring them to pick them up, people will just decide that lights are more trouble than they're worth and will stop buying them.

This was the danger of them when they were first introduced, but the fact that they never burned out unless picked up was what gave them longevity.

I agree.

My thought is they definitely had something with the original bug for lights which would work nicelyfor furniture decay. What might work is if they made furniture decay over a period of like 3 months. After that three months, if an individual picked up that furniture they couldn't put it back down. The person would have three options: Destroy it, sell it to a junk dealer, or use one of those resources recyclers. Thoughts?

Actually you might not be far wrong, it may be that the original bug that stopped them from burning out in the first place was inadvertantly fixed when they bugged something else hehe

TH missed a patch note that is potentially going to affect Architects even more than the 5 crate OMU's.

Player crafted lights that reach 0 lifespan will now become "burnt out" and no longer provide light.

Where is this posted? I can't find this anywhere.

It isn't posted (hence the blue highlight), but go into any shop on the outskirts of Eisley and look at the Corbantians candles and lights, they are all 'off' and described when you examine them as not lifespan "0", but "Burnt out".

TC first reported it before we were mothballed and I have filed it as a /bug and in the bug thread, but the fact they are now called "Burnt out" makes it look like an intentional change.

TH and Tiggs both frequently miss patch notes, it is normally due to the fact the developer responsible did the change but forgot to write it down and tell them.

...is still tracking down more bugs

before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

Ok, I misunderstood. I thought the yellow bit was supposed to be a quote of a patch note the dev's posted or something.
